The two layers are what make it: the shell is soft and irregular, the turtle is sharp and detailed on top of it. Mother of pearl is real shell, so every one is slightly different. At 15 inches it wears short. 14K gold on stainless steel. Waterproof to wear, though shell lasts longer away from steam.
